Working through the UK immigration process can feel like you are trying to find your way through a maze. When we first reached out to Depner Immigration Consultants two and a half years ago, we were stressed, overwhelmed and unsure how to even begin our spousal visa application (with two kids in tow). Our case was complicated and we knew we needed someone who not only understood the rules but who could guide us with patience. Daniel became that person from the very first call. He broke everything down in a way that made sense and helped us gather what felt like a mountain of evidence without ever making us feel out of our depth. When that first visa was approved, we knew that his support had played a huge role.

Fast forward to the next stage of the process. Another two and a half years had flown by and it was time to submit the renewal. We expected it to be straightforward, yet it turned into one of the most stressful moments of the entire journey. We had already booked flights for a December holiday abroad and only then realised that you cannot leave the country when your renewal is pending. What an incredible journey the last 8 months has been. When I first explored the possibility of emigrating, I won’t lie, it was absolutely daunting. Especially because so many said I should just do the application myself. However my situation is very different to most. Emigrating as a single mom with 3 kiddos is not something that is common. And I wanted to make sure that our applications were approved from the beginning. I approached Depner Immigration Consultants and two one other companies, but Daniel’s response and manner of communicating captured my trust immediately. He took a very daunting process and made it so much easier. Emigrating with children as a single parent is a whole new ball game but definitely not impossible. Daniel arranged a lovely advocate in South Africa who could handle the high court order and Daniel ensured that the order would be sufficient for the UK home office. At times when I felt a little overwhelmed, Daniel was very quick to put me at ease. He was honest from the start and always gave great advice. The hurdles we encountered were South Africa based, and even with that Daniel and his wife assisted instantly.

I used Daniel recently as I needed a settlement Visa real quick due to having to retire early from a US job on a large US Air Force base in Suffolk. Of course I was beyond worried as I had a cruise planned with my family and wasn’t sure I would be able to go and be allowed back into the UK.
